Maggie Moor | Mind, Body & Humanity

From Shadows to Light

The Clinic: Vitality & Discipline

A licensed psychoanalyst’s perspective on trauma, identity, and the architecture of the split.

This is the home of Maggie Moor’s clinical work—psychoanalysis, athletic performance, and humanitarian care. Across her clinical practice, outreach with runaway and homeless youth, mind-body writing, and national-level competition, she is always working with the same questions: how we heal, how we integrate, and how we inhabit our bodies and lives more fully.

The Discipline

Maggie Moor completed New York State Doctoral Equivalency–level clinical training at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Study and is also a national-level NPC athlete. Now an NYSED-licensed psychoanalyst specializing in PTSD, addiction, and identity, she integrates deep clinical work with a body–mind performance lens, bridging psychoanalysis and somatic embodiment. Her Gradiva-nominated thesis, “Coloring Outside the Lines,” and her book I AM: Your Guide to Mind–Body Union for Total Awareness together form a blueprint for self-union, resilience, and integration.

Literary Psychological Fiction

Moor also writes dark literary noir that explores the psyche with the same visceral, emotional precision and embodied insight found in her clinical and athletic work—following artists, moguls, and femmes fatales through identity splits, the blur of performance and life, lingering trauma and survival in the city’s shadows.
