X- Ray

This is for the lonely ones—you are at the heart of the truth.

I don’t write for attention. I write to express something I can’t find on earth—I don’t know what that is exactly. No one will ever fully know themselves; I don’t claim to. People say I write about trauma. I do. I believe everyone is trauma, everyone is love, everyone is all of it. I don’t have many personas or lives. I am one live beating heart that expresses, explores, and vibrates in solitude and interconnectedness, in tandem with the earth’s raw, unpredictable, all-powerful nature. I can only find this by being with all parts of me: the shadow, the light, the mess, the purity, the being. I had to almost die to find this truth.

Charmay: New York Noir series is all of me. I am not refined to the lead character on the page. I am all parts of all of the books. I suppose I write to feel all parts of me, and beyond. Through a hard-boiled, poetic, broken, and passionate first-person narrative—a rhythm and presence that slips you inside a mind that shifts tenses, reflects, observes, projects, and feels all on the page—I write to help you feel you. This is human. I want to take you more deeply into your own core.

If you’re interested in that.

Charmay: New York Noir isn’t polished for comfort; it’s an exploration of humanity at its most primitive and its most prismatic, offering a way to give language to the unsayable. It is a shifting, visceral narrative of the mind, body, heart, and soul—feeling deeply, acknowledging both our interconnectedness and our solitude to get closer to the core of existence.

In Closing: A Crescendo from Silence.

Enter your void, your masks, and your voice. Reach out to anyone still hidden in their shell.

 Stay with me.  ~MM
