I AM ⭕ Discussion: Why is Intentional Breathing so Important?
Maggie will lead you through a talk on calming anxiety through intentional breath awareness. Creating mind and body union is specifically reliant on intentional breath. Intentional breath will help you become present and thus open to experiencing calm and openness during difficult times or unknown terrain. Many of us have shallow breath every day, no matter what the circumstance, and our body’s suffer from lack of circulation, our minds tense in repetitive thought, and harmonious synergy of mind and body, lost.
I AM ⭕ Mindful Meditation: p 11-13: Here, Maggie will read and discuss in great detail, the Mindfulness Meditation Practice #1: Breathe on p11. She will break down into specific technique, breath and body awareness, to help you understand where in your body to focus your breath, and how to begin to check in with your breath often throughout the day. This meditation will help you make the mental connection to your somatic body when breathing, and help you feel very calm and wonderfully present!
